This weekend, La Raza Galería Posada gives you an opportunity to honor departed souls with its annual Panteón de Sacramento, taking place in midtown. The outdoor event marks Día de los Muertos, or “Day of the Dead.” At the panteón (cemetery), you’ll find 60 altars displaying paper banners, candles, photos and mementos of the departed, Mexican sweet bread and marigolds, the traditional flower of the dead. In addition, six master crafters from Jalisco, Mexico will show off their ceramics, paper mache, leather and corn husk art. The 11-piece band Mariachi Alas de Mexico plays Saturday at 8 p.m. as the celebration reaches deep into the night. For more information, click here.
