Back in July of 2012, a fire destroyed one-third of the play area of McKinley Park. Councilmember Steve Cohn and the Rebuild McKinley Steering Committee are dedicated to restoring the beloved playground, and hope to get output from the community to make it a reflection of everyone’s needs.
The rebuilt McKinley Park Playground will be designed as a one-of-a-kind experience that will reflect the town, neighborhood and all of the children who will play on it. On Jan. 11, the rebuild committee is hosting Design Day, which is intended to allow members of the community a forum to suggest elements for the new playground that are important to them. Members of the community whose children have special needs are especially encouraged to come out. For more information, click here.
