See a Play—Help the Animals

Posted on February 24

Animal lovers and live-theater lovers, your two worlds unite Thursday, March 1 when Bob and Ro Productions presents Sylvia. Written by A. R. Gurney, the play is about a “streetwise dog and the havoc she plays on her owner’s household and marriage” and is playing at The Studio Theatre,1028 R St. in Sacramento. Tickets are $20 with $10 going to support Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., but drop by early (doors open at 7 p.m.) to enjoy a complimentary dessert buffet and wine tasting!

Tickets may be purchased at the Happy Tails Adoption Center, located at 6001 Folsom Blvd. in East Sacramento. The center is open Wednesday–Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. You also can pick them at PetsMart on Arden Way and Watt Avenue in Sacramento this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (ask for a Happy Tails volunteer).  Or, get them up at the door.  For more information, call (916) 556-1155 or e-mail purrball@happytails.org.

By the way, you probably knew this already, but just in case, the cute dog pictured with this blog is not one of the actors in the play. His rates were too high.
