There is no better way to check out some of Sacramento’s finest mixologists and bartenders than at the 5th annual Midtown Cocktail Week, Aug. 19–26. Midtown Cocktail Week first appeared on the scene in 2008 and was concocted by mixologists Erick Castro and Joe Anthony Savala. They had the great idea of creating an event that would be a catalyst in evolving Sacramento’s cocktail culture. Each night of Midtown Cocktail Week features an event at a different Sacramento hotspot.

In addition to the great parties, MCW will also recognize this election year. Midtown Cocktail Week 2012: A Spirited Debate will incorporate political flair into all of the hosted events.

This event is sure to impress, as well as quench your thirst. Be sure to look over the lineup filled with educational seminars, home bartending classes, and tasting courses in addition to the nightly events.

Above all, the event encourages participants to drink responsibly and to use safe transportation. For more information, as well as a calendar of events, please see midtowncocktailweek.org.
