If you’re looking for a creative way to enjoy Labor Day weekend with the whole family, be sure to make it out to Fremont Park for the annual Chalk It Up festival. This event raises money to benefit children’s art-related activities, and is a great way to witness the creation of some amazing artwork.
The festival features three days of live performances provided by local talents. There will also be a Kids Create-A-Zone, where local professional artists guide children through activities. Food trucks will be on hand, including Wicked Wich, Drewski’s Hot Rod Kitchen, and Mama Kim on the Go, with food also available from Little Rich’s Italian Ice, Señor Dog and Yolanda’s Tamales. People 21 and older can enjoy the beer garden, the perfect way to keep cool.
This is sure to be something that the whole family can enjoy together. Best of all, it’s free! Find details here.
