Sacramento Mountain Lions Hold Tryouts

Posted on May 13

Want to be a pro football player? Sacramento’s newest professional sports team is holding open tryouts this Saturday. The United Football League’s Sacramento Mountain Lions are seeking players for all positions, including kickers and punters, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Natomas High School, 3301 Fong Ranch Road. Registrants will be timed in the 40-yard dash and 20-yard short shuttle and will then participate in a series of individual and team drills.

The Mountain Lions kick off their season in September, with their first home game taking place at Hornet Stadium on Sept. 25.
