Back for its 36th year is the Sacramento Jazz Festival & Jubilee, which has taken over Old Sacramento and other areas of downtown every Memorial Day weekend since 1974. This year, the festival features more than 450 sets of live music at 24 locations from Friday, the 28th, through Monday, the 31st. Not only will there be various types of jazz music—traditional, Latin, classic and Eddie Condon-style, to name a few—but there will also be plenty of blues, swing and mainstream music to listen and dance to. The highlight? The Molly Ringwald Quintet performs Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Hyatt Ballroom. (And yes, it’s Molly Ringwald of Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club fame.)
Ticket prices range from $20 to $110, depending on what you’re attending and how often. The $20 gets you full-day admission on Monday, while $110 gives an adult all access for Friday through Monday. One-day admissions for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are $35, $45 and $45, respectively. Purchase your tickets now!
