Shave Your Head at a St. Baldrick’s Celebration

Posted on March 12

Are you willing to go bald to support childhood cancer research? You can put your money where your head is by registering to have your noggin shaved at one of two St. Baldrick’s celebrations taking place in the area: Saturday, March 13 at Westfield Galleria at Roseville from noon–4 p.m., and Monday, March 15 at deVere’s Irish Pub in Sacramento from 5–8 p.m. You can register at here or at the event itself. Participants are requested to bring monetary donations—ideally collected from family and friends in exchange for going bald—to the event. After all, this ain’t no barber shop. The events are put on by the Keaton Raphael Memorial and mark the eighth year the organization has hosted St. Baldrick’s celebrations, raising more than $1 million for childhood cancer research.

Want to support the cause but keep your luscious locks? You can make a donation here or buy tickets to the “Baldy Bash” after party, which starts at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 13 at the Westfield Galleria at Roseville outdoor promenade; go to childcancer.org.
