You can help one Sacramento-area dog park get a makeover—and help a lucky guy win $5,000 and a year’s supply of dog food. Sacramento-area resident Phil Rylett is one of 10 finalists in the Beneful WagWorld Dream Dog Park Contest, a nationwide contest in which the city of Sacramento could win a half-million dollar renovation of a local dog park. To enter the contest, Rylett—with assistance from dog Zoe—shared his vision of the ultimate dog park complete with water features, small dog and big dog areas, an “adventure trail” and a training area. Check out Rylett’s video, then cast your vote; the public voting counts for 10 percent of the final judging score. But hurry! Voting ends Aug. 11.
