Haircuts for Haiti

Posted on January 22

Looking for a unique way to help out children affected by the Haitian earthquake? Stop by Salon San Severo (20th and P streets, Sacramento) this Saturday, Jan. 23, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Everyone who makes a donation, will receive a free haircut that day. (But keep in mind, there will only be six stylists on hand, so be patient and don’t wait until the last minute to get to the salon.) Not sure how much to give? Suggested donations range from $30 to $60 and all of the money will go toward Help End Local Poverty, a group working to help Haitian children who lost their parents by providing shelter and services. While at the salon, enjoy free appetizers from Sofia restaurant. Don’t need a haircut but still want to help? You can order a Hope for Haiti T-shirt for $25 (also available at helpendlocalpoverty.com). Or just make a donation and you’ll reap the karmic benefits.  For more information, log onto www.salonsansevero.com
