Good VIBErations

Posted on February 22

You can help area youth establish a place of their own by attending the Good VIBErations Fundraiser, March 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Taking place at the Verge Gallery, 1900 V St. in Sacramento, the Good Vibrations “Musical Blast Into Your Past” will take attendees back to their teenage years, playing music that was popular in the ’50s through the ’90s and taking a look back at places and activities that were popular for teens from those respective decades. Senate President pro tem Darrell Steinberg will be master of ceremonies; food from Zocalo and wine courtesy of Barefoot Winery round out the evening of music and entertainment. Money raised from the event will go toward establishing VIBE, a teen-owned/operated (with adult supervision) urban youth lounge and career center, in midtown by summer. Tickets are $50 and may be purchased by calling Sharon Gerber at (916) 448-2881 or e-mailing her at sharongerber@sixdegreez.net.
