For the fourth year, Old Sacramento will light up the night sky this holiday season. Raley’s Theatre of Lights, a symphony of lights, sound and visual effects, takes viewers back to 1857, when the beloved poem “The Night Before Christmas” was introduced in Sacramento.
The free event begins with the lighting of the city Christmas tree on Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m. The 20-minute lightshow, on balconies and rooftops of Old Sacramento’s historic buildings (on K Street between Front and Second streets), follows. The show runs most nights through New Year’s Eve. For a schedule, click here.
