Late bird? Early bird? No matter what kind of bird you are, you can enjoy New Year’s Eve fireworks and fun in Old Sacramento this Dec. 31. The 13th annual New Year’s Eve Sky Spectacular, which runs from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., includes live music and entertainment, food and drink vendors and two fireworks shows—one at 9 p.m. (early bird) and one at midnight (late bird)—choreographed to music. The 9 p.m. show will be geared toward children and families (think family friendly tunes) whereas the midnight show will feature the music of Led Zeppelin, Queen and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The midnight sky concert will be simulcast on The Eagle 96.9 FM.
The event is free to attend and takes place rain or shine. Worried about incurring a huge parking fee at the end of the night? Don’t be, pre-paid parking is available in Downtown Plaza and Old Sacramento garages.
