Once a month for the past six years, we could count on Movies on a Big Screen to get our fill of cult and classic flicks as well as new independent films and documentaries. From arranging special appearances with filmmakers to the annual “Crappy Christmas” event, MOBS knew how to entertain and, at times, inform and make you think.

MOBS took a four-month hiatus, but they are back, this time in a new venue—The Grange Performing Arts Center—and on a new night—Thursday (it used to be Sunday).  The film this Thursday, Nov. 8: Charade, staring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn.

The Grange is located at 3823 V St. (the corner of V Street and Stockton Boulevard, across from the UC Davis Med Center) in Sacramento. Shows start at 7 p.m. and admission is a very reasonable $5.

Click here to see what’s coming up. But take note: There’s no show on Thanksgiving Thursday and there’s a special program (and different locale and admission rate) for the Dec. 13 event: The Found Footage Festival.

Who: Movies on a Big Screen
What: Charade, staring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn
When: Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
Where: The Grange Performing Arts Center, 3823 V St., Sacramento
