Holiday Music at the Capitol

Posted on December 13

go & do blog

Whether stopping by on business or on a tour, visitors to the California State Capitol/Capitol Museum can enjoy holiday music daily through Dec. 23. The lineup of performers is vast and includes the River Bells (professional bell ringers), violinist Ray Anthony Trujillo and various choirs—with adult and child performers. The performances take place on the first floor rotunda and start at 11 a.m. most days, but click here for an up-to-date list of performances and times. (Hint: Scroll down to the bottom where you see the calendar and click on the date when you are planning to attend.)

Afterward (or before), take a look at the beautiful 50-foot white fir Christmas tree on the west lawn of the Capitol. The tree is trimmed with 500 handmade ornaments, provided by the California Department of Developmental Services.
