Heartstoppers Haunted House

Posted on October 25

What better place to stage a haunted house than in an abandoned building that is already reputed to be haunted?

The Heartstoppers Haunted House features four haunted houses—The Deadlands, Dr Lash's Sideshow, SteamGhàst Asylum and Hangtown—on the premises of what used to be the Mine Shaft Amusement Center off Highway 50 between Sunrise Boulevard and Hazel Avenue in Rancho Cordova.

I’ll be honest: This place might be too scary for a scaredy-cat like me, but for other, braver souls looking to get into the Halloween spirit (totally expected pun intended), this might just be the ticket.

You can download an app for tickets, schedules, etc. on your smartphone by clicking here. Standard tickets run $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 and younger, but check online for special ticket options. You can scare yourself silly this Thursday–Sunday as well as on Halloween night, but if you head out on Friday or Saturday you can enjoy a bonus concert by Children of the Grave, billed as “the world’s only zombie tribute to Black Sabbath!” Where does the concert take place, you ask? Why in the Mayhem Music Tent, of course.

Have a spooktacular time and happy Halloween!
