“Elton John” To Perform in Clarksburg

Posted on September 18

Elton John is coming to Clarksburg. Well, OK, not the Elton John, as in Sir Elton John, but rather EJ impersonator Lee Alverson.

The Clarksburg Wine Company is presenting Lee Alverson’s Tribute to Elton John Thursday and Friday, Sept. 20–21 at the Old Sugar Mill. Enjoy a pre-concert buffet dinner (with wine, of course), provided by Mulvaney’s B&L. Dinner and wine are from 7 p.m.–8 p.m.; the concert is from 8 p.m–11 p.m.

OK, I have not seen Alverson, rated The World’s No. 1 Elton John Impersonator by United Tribute Artists International, but he’s said to embody John—from his voice and piano playing to his charisma and costumes. I found this YouTube clip of Alverson as Elton. Check it out here and decide for yourself.

Tickets for dinner and show are $65. For more information and tickets, click here.

What: Lee Alverson’s Tribute to Elton John
When: Thursday–Friday, Sept. 20–21, 7 p.m.
