45th Annual Oktoberfest

What’s the month of October without celebrating Oktoberfest, whether you’re German or not? This Friday and Saturday, Oct. 12-13, the Sacramento Turn Verein is hosting its 45th Annual Oktoberfest, a celebration that’s patterned after the world-famous Oktoberfest in Munich. For $20 (tickets are sold at the door), you can enjoy traditional German music, food and drink—that can only be found at this event. On Friday, the doors open at 6 p.m., with food, beverages and dancing from 7 until 11 p.m. On Saturday, the event is open from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Children ages 6 to 12 cost $5 to get in, and there’s no charge for children under 6.
