You can bet your bottom dollar—make that peso—that every Mexican restaurant in town will be throwing open its doors today, welcoming revelers ready to celebrate Cinco de Mayo from noon till night. But the biggest party in town will be the annual Paragary-sponsored Cinco de Mayo Outdoor Fiesta, a block party outside Centro Cocina Mexicana at 28th and J in midtown. From 4 to 10 p.m., enjoy live music and dancing to The Hits and The Cheeseballs along with multiple outdoor bars serving margaritas, beer and specialty cocktails, and a food court featuring items from Centro’s menu. The party continues inside Centro and Blue Cue, both of which will stay open till 2 a.m. Hundreds came to the fiesta last year, so come early and expect crowds ready to party!
