Placer County 'Day on the Farm' Event Takes Place June 8

Agriculture fans, save the date—on Sunday, June 8, Sinclair Family Farm in Newcastle is offering a "Day on the Farm" event, which includes sheep dog and sheep-shearing demonstrations, wool spinning and an array of animal exhibits. Sierra Foothill producers will also be on hand the day of the event, offering seasonal produce, wool and honey for sale. Activities are free to the public, and take place from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 641 Lozanos Road in Newcastle.

Sinclair Family Farm raises naturally grown, pasture-raised beef, lamb, pork, and poultry, as well as eggs, figs, blackberries, pears and persimmons. The farm sells its products to local stores such as the Blue Goose in Loomis and Newcastle Produce in Newcastle.
