Wine of the Week: Scribner Bend Vineyards Almond Sparkling Wine

Posted on March 5

I recently tried an intriguing sparkling wine from Sacramento’s Scribner Bend Vineyards. This demi-sec, crisp white bubbly was enhanced with a subtle natural almond flavor, and the result was captivating. The slightly sweet wine also offered fruit-forward flavors of ripe pear and quince, and a lovely hint of vanilla to mingle with the almond, resulting in a bubbly beverage that would be delightful on a picnic, to launch a festive patio dinner or for a unique celebratory toast. And at only $17.95 a bottle, it’s easy on the pocketbook.
