Wild Mushroom Foraging Class Offered This Saturday

Posted on April 8

Fungus fans, save the date—the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op, in conjunction with local Soil Born Farms, is offering a wild mushroom foraging class this Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to noon. Led by Sacramento area “mushroomers” Bob and Barbara Summer, the event consists of a foraging walk along the American River Parkway, where participants learn how to identify edible mushrooms growing right underneath their noses (and feet). The cost is $35 ($25 for Co-op owners) and will be held at Soil Born Farms’ American River Ranch, 2140 Chase Drive in Rancho Cordova. For more information and to register, visit the Co-op’s website
