I had to smile recently when I visited Kathmandu Kitchen on Broadway – it seems the farm-to-fork movement has inspired this friendly little family-owned restaurant, which serves Nepali and Indian cuisine. A sign emblazoned with the words “Enjoy the Farm” greets visitors as they walk in, announcing the availability of organic vegetables in the restaurant’s buffet. While I didn’t visit the buffet – I ordered the kitchen’s fabulous lamb saagwala and chana masala – I appreciate that it is thoughtfully procuring wholesome produce for its customers.
