Caramel-Dipped Apples Showcased at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

Posted on December 2

Kira O'Donnell

Caramel-dipped apples are a holiday staple—and Old Sacramento’s Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory takes this sweet treat to an enticing new level. Walk into the bustling little shop on K Street, and you’re likely to see staff members dipping crunchy, fresh apples in thick, hot bubbling caramel and then rolling them in an eye-popping array of toppings. Selections range from M&M and chocolate chip-covered apples to the “Peanut Butter Bomb,” the “Rocky Road,” and a plain caramel-covered apple for purists. The Chocolate Factory also crafts its own creamy fudge (ask for a sample!), and offers fresh strawberries dipped in milk, dark and white chocolates.
