Try It: Bangkok Garden in Natomas

Posted on July 9

Thai restaurants abound in the Sacramento region, and many of them serve up some very tasty and distinctive fare. But one of my favorite spots is Bangkok Garden in Natomas, whose cozy, wood-paneled walls and tasteful, intricately decorated interior sets the stage for the kitchen’s scrumptious menu items. Don’t miss the vivacious duck curry, submerged in a red curry-coconut milk broth and embellished with bamboo shoots, sweet pineapple, tomato and fresh basil leaves; or the comforting pad Thai, dotted with plump prawns, chunks of chicken and fried tofu squares. Service is warm and brisk, and if you’re planning to visit for lunch, the place fills up quickly at noon – so try to arrive by 11:45am, especially if you have a larger party.

Make-A-Wish Foundation's 27th annual Wine and Food Fest

Images from the Make-A-Wish Foundation's 27th annual Wine and Food Fest Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Sacramento Convention Center. Guests were treated to food and drink from nearly 100 local eateries and bars. Other vendors auctioned off wares and services ranging from hand-woven free trade baskets to modern art work and vintage photographs. Proceeds from the event went to the charity’s mission of arranging experiences for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
