The California State Fair: Come Hungry

Posted on July 24

We visited the California State Fair this week and marveled at the enormous selection of food available to visitors: from Cajun catfish and corn on the cob to smoked turkey legs and funnel cakes, there’s a dizzying array of goodies from which to choose. Overheated? Guzzle a glass of freshly-made lemonade or a cold draft beer. Are the kids hungry and cranky? Get ‘em a quick corndog and a greasy giant onion ring – just make sure to wait 30 minutes before they jump on the twirling teacup ride.

The 159th California State Fair runs through Sunday, July 29th at Cal Expo.
