Feeling restless? Bored of your everyday fare? Check out the Sacramento Natural Food Co-op’s colorful lineup of global cooking classes this April. The Vegan Indian Feast (April 26th) is a hands-on class featuring menu items such as chana dal fritters with curry leaves and red chiles; and cool green pea and corn soup with coconut milk. The Papusas and Arepas class (April 24th), a delectable culinary tour of El Salvador, Venezuela and Colombia, teaches attendees how to make filled masa recipes such as hot griddled corn cakes filled with spice-rubbed pulled pork. Other internationally-inspired classes include Classic Pub Fare and Brews (April 19th) and A Taste of the Philippines (April 17th) showcasing beef and sweet red pepper apritada, vegetable lumpia and pancit palabok noodles.
