Sacramento’s dining scene is growing more dynamic and sophisticated each year. I’m always proud to show off the region’s restaurants, food artisans and farmers’ markets to visitors, and one of the places I relish taking them is Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates. The shop’s confections are exquisite, and the array of chocolate flavors is dizzying – try Ginger’s Rose-Geranium and Vanilla-Mint chocolates, two of my favorites. The shop is always adding new products – Ginger now offers cupcakes (in flavors like lavender-blackberry and salty caramel) and ganache lollipops – and I was delighted recently to see a selection of preserves, including pluot-vanilla bean jam.
