Goodie Tuchews Celebrates 30 Sweet Years

Posted on December 8, 2011

Anyone with a discerning sweet tooth knows about Goodie Tuchews, downtown’s cozy little nook of baked deliciousness. The cookie shop's fragrance makes my knees weak every time I visit, and it’s always hard to decide which flavors to choose. Owner Terry O’Reilly’s selections include butterscotch walnut, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, and chocolate chip (there’s a total of 19 varieties from which to choose), and they’re all scrumptiously fresh from the oven. O’Reilly, who opened the shop with her father (“He had the money, I had the recipes,” she says) is celebrating her 30th year in business, and continues to relish the work. During the holidays, she offers festive holiday boxes with a dozen cookies nestled inside – the perfect gift for all those nibblers and dessert-lovers in your life.
