Relish Burger Bar opened yesterday in El Dorado Hills. A collaboration between Bidwell Street Bistro owner Richard Righton, chef Wendi Mentink and a group of investors, it’s the most upscale burger joint in the region, serving beef from Niman Ranch, Painted Hills and Snake River Farms. The least expensive burger on the menu is a quarter-pound Black Angus burger at $6.25. The most expensive: an American Kobe burger with Laura Chenel goat cheese, pickled beets and mesclun greens at $13.95. The menu also includes a Colorado lamb burger, an ahi burger and grilled wild boar sausages, as well as an extensive list of wines by the glass. Have it your way indeed. Relish Burger Bar is in the Montano de El Dorado shopping plaza at 1000 White Rock Road. To view the menu, go to http://www.relishburgerbar.com/.
