Hearty (and Comforting) Eats at 33rd Street Bistro

Posted on April 7

Last night, grouchy and tired, I sought out some comfort food from an old neighborhood fave, 33rd Street Bistro in East Sacramento. Sturdy, nurturing food is a hallmark of this boisterous bistro, and I went straight for the kitchen's lamb and pork sausage meatloaf. Napped with a lively cayenne aioli, the dense slab of meaty goodness was served up with soft, lumpy mashed potatoes. The shrimp and Andouille sausage ravioli also did a great job brightening my spirits - spicy and hearty, and swimming in a lovely tomato sauce, the entree was big enough for two people. Good food can do wonders for your mood.
